MX Key: Application Error on Windows 8

If you gotten this error report window on your Windows 8 at the first time running MX Key on it, this could be a simple reason to resolving that trouble.

The window error report will says : The Smart card resource manager is not running

Q: did you install smart card driver, this should be a 32bit or 64bit ROCKEY driver ?

A: Yes

Q: Do you restart your system when driver already installed ?

A: NO

OK this could be the error report comes to your desktop, then how to fix ?

1. Leave your MX Key connected to PC

2. Restart your PC, next PC will recognize your new hardware.

3. Run mobileEx.exe.

4. At the very first use it needs to Sign Application first to create correct hardware registry on your system. And its also will check your software need to upgrade and or repair [ Online ]

5. Hit OK on MX Key error window and next hit Sign Application

6. Next to do is hit Synchronize Files to check update available for all modul and NK.mx files

7. Hit Update on MX Key Update Sync dialog box, and wait all finished [ that's why should be online ]

8. After all have finish, hit YES on Confirmation dialog window to restart MX Key after upgrade

9. Now time to taste your working MX Key with all new features on modul

Note : After you have download the installer it can't be run. Double click downloaded file then chose to open wit WINRAR or 7z. Then you will got the installer package msi. Now it's can be run.

Before you install the new version please don't uninstall the old version. So it won't be asking you to Sign Application first at the first time you run the new version.

At the installation process it will ask you to uninstall the old version, this the time to uninstall the old version. Just click YES on the window to uninstall.

After finishing installation, run your mobilEx v3.5 rev2.6 and when it's open won't need to Sign Application. Next step press Syncronize Files so it will gives you the most valueable update.

Press Update to get them all. Make sure the internet connection is in good. Kill your anti virus process until update finish. After that update finish press YES to restart mobilEx.

Menghilangkan Pesan Nokia-Tool Configration MXKey

Sebuah pengalaman lama yg cukup memalukan, ya ini saya dapat ketika pertama kali menggunakan MXKey. Karena masih bodo namun sekarang sudah blo'on jadinya ya gitu deeh. he..3x
Begini ceritanya, setiap kali saya menjalankan mobileEx dan memilih Nokia Service Tool selalu muncul jendela Nokia Tool-Configuration. Karena tidak tahu penyebabnya ya cukup saya OK saja, toh akhirnya akan menutup sendiri. Tapi lama-lama cukup menggugah keinginan untuk menhilangkannya, satu kendala pada saat itu adalah MXKey tidak disertai User's Manual penggunaan. Ditambah lagi saat itu saya belum mampu berlangganan internet seperti saat ini. Jadi sangat sulit untuk memperoleh jawaban.
Namun segala kesulitan pasti dibuatkan pula jalan keluarnya. " Walaupun para teknisi senior amat sangat PELIIT untuk memberi solusi " akhirnya ketemu juga jalan keluarnya. Dari pengalaman tersebut saya ingin membaginya kepada rekan-rekan yang mungkin mengalami hal yang sama dengan yang saya alami ini. Berikut ini solusinya yang tidak perlu anda " beli " informasinya dari saya.

Pada saat menjalankan mobileEx dan anda pilih Nokia Service Tool maka anda akan menjumpai jendela Nokia Tool-Configuration.sebagai berikut.

Jendela semacam ini bisa anda hilangkan cukup hanya dengan meng-klik tombol OK nya saja

Namun pada saat berikutnya ketika anda dobel click kotak firmware anda akan melakukan beberapa kali klik untuk mencari firmware yang anda inginkan. Nah dari klak-klik yang menjemukan inilah akhirnya saya menemukan jawaban sederhananya. Setelah saya amati beberapa saat ketika menggunakan kembali mobileEx dan muncul jendela Nokia Tool-Configuration akhirnya ketemu jawaban mengapa jendela ini selalu muncul. Jendela ini muncul ternyata karena memerlukan setting Firmware Path agar dia tidak bingung pada saat kita klik Bus Check. Tugas kita adalah memasukkan Firmware Path pada kotak yang masih kosong tersebut agar mobileEx tahu arah kemana ia akan pergi berbelanja he...3x

Klik tombol Add dan masukkan Directory yang benar. Lihat gambar berikut

Mengapa saya memasukkan dua direktori di dalamnya ? karena pada folder firmware default Nokia di C:\Program Files\Nokia\Phoenix\Product, saya hanya melakukan copy paste folder firmware ponsel yang sedang saya perbaiki. Kemudian akan saya hapus kembali setelah selesai untuk menjaga dirve C: saya tidak dipenuhi oleh file yang bukan merupakan sebuah file system/program. Sedangkan direktori kedua D:\Program Files\Sarassoft\UFS\UFS_DCTxBB5\Product, merupakan gudang amunisi firmware Nokia saya. Jadi semua firmware Nokia berkumpul dan tidur bersama di drive D:

Dan anda bisa merubah Path firmware ini melalui Panah drop down mobileEx untuk mengganti direktori ini. Setelah anda selesai meng-Add atau memasukkan direktori firmware Nokia, anda bisa meng-klik tombol OK dan restart mobileEx untuk memulai ulang mobileEx dan pengaturan anda. Namun saya lebih suka menutup program mobileEx dan memulai ulang dari awal untuk melihat perubahan yang terjadi.

Setelah anda menjalankan ulang mobileEx pilih kembali Nokia Service Tool dan perhatikan hasilnya, pada saat awal Nokia Tool terbuka mobileEx akan terlihat seperti sedang melakukan flashing dengan berjalannya progress bar beberapa saat. Sedangkan Nokia Tool-Configuration sudah tidak mau muncul lagi karena pada adress path sudah otomatis ke C:

Backup .ask and .pm Files

Tools needed:

a. MX Key

b. A USB Cable [ 'cause i don't need HTI Box ]

Steps:

1. Open mobileEx, give a firmware file at least 

2. Press Bus Check button

3. Click Service tab, Choose IMEI & Security then Read Ask for reading .ask and make a backup file

4. Save .ask file created wherever you want

5. Next in Service choose PM, click Read to backup .pm file

Make sure all PM block has check that mean the .pm you have made backup lately is good .pm file
