Welcome

Flashtool is a S1 flashing software that works for all Sony phones from X10 to Xperia Z Ultra. They all use the S1 protocol for flashing firmwares.

This program was originally made to flash sin files downloaded by SEUS or PCC.

Based on a command line tool written by Bin4ry (Andreas Makris), I brought a user interface to sin files flashing.

We worked together to add more features to the tool such as rooting methods implementation or TA backup / restore

Then I took the lead and got some advice and help from him occasionally on some features like rom cleaner or bootloader unlocking.

From time to time, sin files have been bundled into what is now well known FTF (Flash Tool Firmwares) and more features have been implemented.

But flashing firmwares is still the core of Flashtool (that is updated at least to follow Sony improvements around sin files) and the reason of its name.

Flashtool can also easily unlock the bootloader of the phone using the BLU icon as far as the bootloader of your phone is unlockable

The flashing feature as well as bootloader unlock feature are available whatever the phone is recognized or not by the application. What is only mandatory for flashing is to own the FTF file according to the device you want to flash it on.

Why should I use flashtool ?

    Once bootloader unlocked, official sony tools do not work anymore.

    Using official sony tools, you can only upgrade. No downgrade possible.

    Using flashtool, you can choose what to flash and what not to flash. This said, many rooting scenarios are available implying kernel only downgrade to retrieve a patched rooting exploit and then flash back the right kernel.

You said unlocking bootloader ?

This process gives you the opportunity to flash custom roms such as CyanogenMod ROMs.

Many other features have been built-in so that Flashtool can also be used to (as far as the phone is recognized by Flashtool) :

    Root your phone

    Install recovery, busybox, custom kernels

    Clean your rom (remove /system/apps apps of your choice) (Be careful, unless you really know what you do, do not modify the default list. This can make your phone stuck at the SE Logo)

    Clear dalvik cache

    Optimize (install of JIT v2) (plugin for 2.1 phones only from 2010 line)

    Customize (installs apps found in the custom/apps folder of the flashtool)

    Edit any text file on the device

    Rebrand your device

To apply the 0.9.19.10 patch, you must be on 0.9.19.2, 0.9.19.3, 0.9.19.4, 0.9.19.5, 0.9.19.6, 0.9.19.7, 0.9.19.8 or 0.9.19.9 and replace x10flasher.jar with the one from the patch.

Installation

Requirements

Before downloading and even installing, disable your antivirus. The package is virus free. Antivirus complains about psneuter and zergRush root exploits and I still haven’t found how to fool the antivirus.

Installation INSTRUCTIONS

To install the Flashtool, follow the steps below:

    Windows version :

    Install the full install Flashtool 0.9.11.0 package

    Apply the latest update (each update is cumulative)

    Updates will not be functionnal if full 0.9.11.0 is not installed

    Linux version :

    Unpack the tar.7z package

    Check that libusb-1.0 is installed. On 64bits system, both 64bit and 32bit should be installed.

    Add these rules to /etc/udev :

    SUBSYSTEM== »usb », ACTION== »add », ATTRS{idVendor}== »0fce », ATTRS{idProduct}== »* », MODE= »0777″

    Apply the latest update (each update is cumulative)

    Updates will not be functionnal if full 0.9.11.0 is not installed

    Open the dmg package

    Copy the Flashtool App to Applications folder. It will not run right from the dmg package

Install MFI Multiloader v2.0.1.3 on Windows 8.1

This method assuming that you've been install MFI Multiloader v1.8.1.3 already. What we need is updating to version 2.0.1.3

.NET Framework 2.0 installed

This step will explain installation procedure on Windows 8.1 32 bit architecture machine.

If you have an anti virus installed on it you better to stop it's process for while during installation [ think: many anti virus programs catch kind of this program False Positive. Also due to AVAST i am using on my machine ].

I have also both BlackBerry program installed on it, there are BlackBerry Desktop Manager and BlackBerry Link.

If you have downloaded the full installer of MFI Multiloader [aka MML] there will be five kinds of files on your extracted folder:

1. MML Setup

2. Actualization

3. Configurations

4. Re-register MML

5. Parts of MML update files

Extract them one by one in the different folder so you will easily to find your file need to run. For MML Setup it should be the setup of MFI Loader v1.8.1.3 if i don't wrong. Install it first and see to your C:\. There will be a new folder name MML and also a new shortcut on your desktop.

Extract Configuration.rar, replace Configuration.xml on C:\MML\Configuration with your new extracted Configuration.rar.

Now for the parts of MML files you only need to right click Part1 and choose extract here then your extractor will extract the other files too. Copy MML to C:\MML and choose "Replace the files in the destination" on PopUp. So the old MML will replaced by the update files.

Next extract Actualization.rar, copy all extracted files to C:\MML\Bin.

The last is extract your re-register mml file, there will be two files extracted. Copy BbDevMgr.exe to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\USB Driver. Then run batch file by double clickin' on register_MMLedit_drcom.bat. That's all you need to do to install MFI MultiLoader on Windows 8.1.

CAUTION: Before copy and paste BbDevMgr.exe you need to stop the running process of BlackBerry program through the TASK MANAGER. 

To do that just see to the bottom left corner of the desktop, there will be a button of Windows 8.1 START. Right click it and choose TASK MANAGER. On the TASK MANAGER window, tab Process please stop be End Task of:

1. Blackberry Dev Man

2. BlackBerry Link Comm

3. BlackBerry Link Peer Man

4. RIM MDNS Service

Tab Services then right click and stop following:

1. RIM Tunnel Service

2. RIM MDNS

3. BlackBerry Dev Man

Now time to make it safe for Windows through Windows Firewall, so there won't show warning popup each time you run it.

Right click START button > Control Panel > System and Security > Windows Firewall > Allow an app or feature > Change Setting > Allow another app > Browse:

Expand your C: and also MML > click bin > click MML.exe or MML > Open > Add > OK > OK. Close the window.

If you are using AVAST anti virus you could give it an EXCLUSIONS that make AVAST never care to what it's to do during running. 

Open AVAST Dashboard > Details Icon > Scan Icon > Settings link > Axclusions Icon > Add

Choose your C:\MML and all of contents of this folder should be CHECKED. Then AVAST will never Scan your MFI MultiLoader.

Now you can safely running MFI MultiLoader As Administrator.

Guide to install MFI Multiloader on Windows 7 32 bit

Need to install and download:

1. BlackBerry Desktop Manager version 710 ( not version 10 because it's need for BlackBerry OS 10 )
2. Complete files of MML v2.0.1.3 ( better torrent it )
3. uTorrent or other torrent machine you like.

Steps:

1. Install BlackBerry Desktop Manager.

    Kill all running process and services after install BlackBerry Desktop Manager by Task Manager ( it need if you need to copy and paste BBDevMgr to C:\Program Files\Common Files\ Research in motion\USB Driver).

Right click taskbar and choose Task Manager. Tab Process click RIMBBLaunchAgent then End Process.

Tab Services right click BlackBerry Device Manager click Stop Service. Then you can copy and replace original BBDevMgr with the same you've downloaded. Close Task Manager.

Install uTorrent, and download this file:

2. Compressed all files had been torrent, find a file name MMLSetup.part9. The the folder and double click MMLSetup.msi. It will give you a shortcut to MFI Multiloader.exe on your desktop.
3. Extract file name All8files.part1 by right click and extract here. Then you'll got MML folder. Copy this folder to C:\
[replace all existing files on the choice window show up.]
4. Extract file name Actualizacion MML, copy all files in the folder to C:\MML\Bin. Replace all existed.
5. If you have different files and has configuration file given then you need to copy that as it explained on point number 1 above and read carefully for succeed of installing MFI Multiloader.
6. Double click MFI Multiloader icon on your desktop to try running it. ( First before doing this, PLEASE!!! disconnect your internet connection )

Hello, fellow QPST users.

QPST 2.7 Build 4.2.2 is a fake version with keylogger.
Some a$$hole downloaded latest public QPST build (4.0.2) and decompiled MSI installer package, then edited all "4.0.2" to "4.2.2", added "fake changelog", added keylogger (qualcomm.exe), then repackaged and spread around web!

Everyone who downloaded QPST build "4.2.2" should change all his passwords.

MSI package (QPST.2.7.422.msi) was embedded/tampered with qualcomm.exe which is a .NET based malware that logs your keystrokes and sends it to attacker's server.

How to delete the actual malware from your system?
Look at the startup from msconfig or CCleaner, there should be a file called qualcomm.exe thats set to start everytime system starts. Delete both registry and file.

If you wanted to see what data thief was stolen from you. Just open the .dc file (in "dclogs" folder) with Notepad and see for yourself.
In XP, dc file is located here!
C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Application Data\dclogs
there should be a file called "201X-XX-XX-X.dc
if you open that DC files with Notepad, you'll see all your keystrokes.

Keylogger sends the logs from keylogger to "qpst.hopto.me"

So please report about this incident where and when you encounter QPST 4.2.2 somewhere (forums, posts, sharing-sites, etc)

1) EFS Hello commands will not be sent unless the device is in a compatible mode. Sending this command when the
device is in download mode can cause a "server busy" message for a few seconds because of command retries.
2) Support for the Sahara device protocol (see 80-N1008-1 or equivalent) is now built in to the QPST server process.
This protocol is only supported by USB Serial ports, not TCP/IP connections. In QPST Configuration a device in
this mode will display as "Q/QCP-XXX (Sahara Download)". This mode can only be detected (1) when the QPST server
process starts or a COM port in this mode added to QPST, or (2) when a device enters Sahara mode on a port assigned
to QPST. This is because the device only sends its Hello message once, as soon as the COM port is opened.

Changelog above is actually cloned from QPST 2.7.394 Just scroll down and see Build 2.7.394 changelog. Its same!

So forget about Build 422. It doesn't exist.
Use QPST 2.7 Build 402. It's the latest public build

It's happened to me after i've installed NCS ForStore on my PC. I lost everything that was run well before. As NOKIA said that should uninstall first the old version, i did it.
By the build number of it's i was think that this tool is the newest than i used. But i'm completely wrong.
On this build i have only some new drivers and Plugin update not the tools was install.
I lost every app out of the nokia care suite launcher. Even the launcher never found anymore.
Learning what was wrong i found that this build updating some old driver version and give
some new driver for windows 8 phone driver and or Asha and Lumia devices.
Now what should to do are:
Uninstall NokiaCareSuit ForStore 5.3.112.1425, because it doesn't have any app on the installed tool except the drivers, so just remove it first.
Remove/uninstall all new drivers had just installed already. Remove 'em one by one.
If you have third party tool as REVO uninstaller you'll find all new drivers (simply to find what is new include in the installation ). Remove all folders left over exception for phoenix folder.
If you have apps like UFS, JAF, ATF or other corresponding to the nokia tool they'll need that folder.
Folders need to clean out of you pc:

Restart pc
Re-install NCS PST 5.0.2013_13.4.4
After finishing NCS PST installation next you can install NCS ForStore 5.3.112.1425.
First it will updating and install new drivers to pc. Next it will install NCS, but by the way it will warn that the newer version installed. And it won't install NCS. After installation finish you better restart your pc. And see again what has just installed on programs and features or use REVO Uninstaller to know.

Bellow what will happen on installation process.

After all drivers and plugin ( visual C++ 2012 ) installed, the NCS ForStore will install it's applications. But because you have just installed NCS PST 5.0.2013_13 already, it won't install again because it is the older version. What need to do is clicking OK and FINISH on the next window.

Look at REVO Unistaller or Programs and Features what's new on your system.

Open NOKIA CARE SUITE Launcher and double click Product Support Tool For Store icon.

It works again with all new drivers installed and allow me again to flashing DEAD RM-914 Lumia 520
